O' So Good Olive Oil's Blood Orange Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all purpose flour

  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powser

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • 2 cups granulated sugar (I used organic cane sugar)

  • 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons O' So Good Blood Orange Olive Oil

  • 3 eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 orange zested

  • 1/2 tablespoon orange juice

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Mix together the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt) in a bowl and set aside. Melt the butter and chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals until melted. Stir in the sugar 1 cup at a time until fully incorporated and slightly dissolved. Next add the olive oil, eggs, vanilla extract, orange zest, and orange juice and whisk together. Add the dry ingredients into the wet and stir together using a spatula. This will be a thick mixture. Pour into a greased/oil sprayed 9x13 baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly cooked but still slightly clumpy. It will continue to cook while cooling and you will get ooey gooey delicious brownies. Enjoy!
